Social Responsibility Program
Work that reaches beyond campus: school sessions, outreach, and taking what SPADES does to people who would not otherwise see it.
What we do
The Social Responsibility Program opens SPADES events to students who would otherwise miss out, whether the barrier is financial, a lack of resources, or simply never having heard of them.
SRP works with NGOs and partner schools to bring student teams to PsiFi and the LUMS Science Symposium, and runs training sessions beforehand so they arrive knowing the format. Once there, SRP teams compete in the same categories, on the same terms, as everyone else. SRP also offers need-based scholarships.
Through the year, SPADES volunteers run hands-on workshops in coding, robotics and biology for schools that rarely get them.
