Science Crime Busters puts delegates in the middle of an unfolding murder mystery. They examine staged crime scenes, analyse evidence such as blood samples and dental patterns, crack ciphers and weigh up witness statements that do not agree.

The science is real: forensic methods, chemistry, biology and careful deduction. Each round adds to the case, and at the end every team has to put forward and defend its own account of how the murder happened.
